About Utility Tests

We start from public sources: the EEI test brochures that utilities publish on their own careers pages, EEI's public catalogue of test batteries, and employer hiring pages. From those descriptions we build our own exercises. Nothing is copied or reworked from a real test, which is confidential and copyright, and we do not use EEI's candidate practice portal as a source.

• Sections generate fresh items every run from a seeded generator, so you can't memorize them — which matters when a retake can be months away.
• Generators are checked automatically: every item solvable, one correct answer, balanced answer patterns.
• Timing runs on real elapsed time and copes with switching tabs, so pacing is honest.
• Every section works with a keyboard and on touch screens, with visible focus and text labels.

We are not EEI, not a utility, and not affiliated with anyone who makes or delivers these tests. Our sections are practice in a similar format, not a replica. We will not tell you what score you need, because nobody publishes one — cutoff scores are set locally by each employer. We never promise a score, an index or a job. Read the full disclaimer.
