Full timed mock tests

One mock per battery. Every section runs in the order EEI's brochure for that battery lists it, to that battery's published time limit, with a shared 15-minute break allowance between sections. At the end you get one combined report: a score for each section, the time you took, and the section to work on next. Our reading documents are shorter than the real passages, so a reading section uses more of them to reach the published question count. The TECH mock is the exception: EEI publishes a count and time for its Mechanical Concepts test only, so its other three tests run to our own practice pacing, and it is labelled that way.

Free official practice from EEI

EEI runs its own candidate practice site, and several utilities publish the access details on their public testing pages at no charge: Entergy, LG&E and KU, Dominion Energy and Arkansas Electric Cooperative. Use it first. Entergy and Dominion Energy note the practice tests are shorter than the real tests and differ slightly from them.

Utility Tests is independent and is not affiliated with EEI or any utility. Our questions are original practice for the abilities each section assesses.

What the report does and doesn't say

It reports how you did on our practice sections and where to put your next hour. It does not give you a pass or fail, a predicted index score, or a probability of being hired — those would all be invented.

Unofficial, and about this practice only. There is no published pass mark for any EEI battery: cutoff scores are set by each employer and are not made public, and the batteries are reported on different scales. This summary is not a predicted index score, not a pass or fail, and not a forecast of whether you will be hired.
