Terms of Service
Last updated: September 16, 2026
These terms apply when you use utilitytests.com (“Utility Tests”, “we”, “us”). By using the site or buying access you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
What we provide
Utility Tests provides online practice exercises for people preparing for the employment tests US electric utilities use for craft, plant and technical hiring — the batteries commonly known as CAST, CAST-R, POSS and MASS. It is independent familiarization and practice material. We are not affiliated with the Edison Electric Institute, any utility or any test administrator, our content is not the real test, and we don't guarantee any score, index or hiring outcome. Please read our Disclaimer.
Accounts
You sign in with a one-time link sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping access to that inbox secure. Accounts are personal: please don't share your access or resell it.
Purchases
- Plans are one-time payments in U.S. dollars. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
- Standard unlocks the five sections used in CAST and CAST-R. Complete unlocks all seven sections, including the POSS and MASS ones, plus the full timed mock test for every battery. The upgrade adds Complete to an account that already owns Standard.
- Access is for the lifetime of the Utility Tests service. If we ever close the service we will give reasonable notice.
- Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details.
- We may change prices for future purchases. A price change never affects access you have already bought.
14-day refund
If you are not satisfied, email hello@utilitytests.com or use the contact page within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. Access for the refunded plan is removed when the refund is issued.
Acceptable use
- Don't copy, scrape, republish or sell our exercises, explanations or software.
- Don't try to break, overload or bypass access controls on the site.
- Never send us or post real test content from any EEI battery. We do not want it, we will not use it, and sharing confidential test material may breach agreements you made with the test provider or the employer.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules, and we will refund any unused purchase where appropriate.
Our content
All practice items, text, designs and software on Utility Tests are our original work and are protected by copyright. You may use them for your own personal practice.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the site available and accurate, but it is provided “as is”. We may improve, change or remove exercises over time, for example to reflect new public information about the test.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Utility Tests is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including any outcome of a job application or assessment. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. If any part of them is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply.
